Dr. Sherin Hamza

I am an experienced paediatrician with extensive clinical practice in community paediatrics, neurodisability, child development, and medical genetics, gained across multiple NHS Scotland services and international settings. My career reflects a strong commitment to holistic child-centred care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the continuous improvement of paediatric services. I have developed strong diagnostic and management skills in both community and acute paediatrics, with extensive experience in caring for children with complex needs, autism, neurodevelopmental challenges, and genetic conditions. My clinical decision-making is evidence-based and supported by formal postgraduate training, including an MSc in Medical Genetics and a Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability. I prioritise clear, empathetic communication with children and families, especially those navigating long-term or complex conditions. I regularly conduct sensitive developmental and neurodisability assessments, including ADOS-based autism evaluations, where clear explanation and family engagement are essential.
