Terms and Conditions – Virtual Triage
Thank you for choosing Virtual Triage. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our digital healthcare platform. By using our service, you agree to abide by the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who We Are
Virtual Triage Ltd (“Virtual Triage”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a technology platform that enables healthcare practitioners and clinics to offer online appointment management, secure messaging, video consultations, payments, and administrative tools.
Virtual Triage is NOT a healthcare provider
We do not employ, supervise, direct, or clinically govern any healthcare professionals. All medical services accessible through the platform are delivered solely by independent clinicians or CQC-registered clinics, who are entirely responsible for clinical care.

2. Our Role as a Technology Platform
Appointment schedulingVideo consultation toolsSecure messagingProfile and record storage toolsPayment processing infrastructurePatient–clinician communication interfacesWe do not create, review, verify, or influence clinical decisions, medical notes, diagnoses, treatments, or prescriptions.
We act only as a facilitator between patients and independent clinicians.
3. Not a Medical Service / No Clinical Relationship
3.1 Virtual Triage does not:
Provide medical adviceProvide diagnosisProvide treatmentPrescribe medicationClinically triage patientsVerify clinician qualificationsSupervise or employ cliniciansHold clinical governance responsibilities3.2 All clinical responsibility rests with the clinician or clinic.
They alone determine:
Suitability for consultationClinical assessmentsFollow-up carePrescriptionsRecord keepingSafeguardingEscalation to emergency servicesVirtual Triage is not a party to the clinical relationship.
4. Emergency Services
Virtual Triage is not an emergency service.
If you require urgent medical attention, contact 999 or your local emergency provider immediately.
5. User Obligations
Provide accurate and complete informationUse the service only for lawful, non-emergency purposesMaintain confidentiality of login credentialsNot misuse or interfere with the platformNot rely on the platform or chatbot for clinical adviceWe act only as a facilitator between patients and independent clinicians.
6. Clinician and Clinic Responsibilities
Clinicians and clinics using Virtual Triage must:
Maintain valid professional registration (e.g., GMC)Maintain appropriate medical indemnity insuranceMaintain CQC registration where requiredComply with all applicable healthcare lawsDeliver care in accordance with professional standardsMaintain accurate medical recordsVirtual Triage has no responsibility for verifying the above.
7. Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed through secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).
Refunds, cancellations, or disputes relating to clinical services are between the patient and clinician.
Virtual Triage does not determine clinical fees or refund policies set by clinicians.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
Virtual Triage acts as a:
Data Controller for account data, login information, platform analytics.Data Processor for clinical data handled on behalf of clinicians and clinics.Clinicians are Data Controllers for all medical and health information they record or collect.

9. Intellectual Property
All software, branding, and digital content on Virtual Triage is owned or licensed to Virtual Triage Ltd and may not be copied or used without written permission.
10. Platform Availability and Limitations
We aim to keep the platform operational but do not guarantee:
Uninterrupted serviceError-free functioningCompatibility with all devicesPrevention of unauthorised accessWe may suspend or modify the platform for maintenance or technical reasons.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Virtual Triage is not liable for:
Any clinical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptionClinical negligence or malpractice by cliniciansLosses arising from reliance on clinical servicesMissed appointments or connectivity issuesIndirect, incidental, or consequential damagesOur total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the preceding 12 months.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Virtual Triage against any claims arising from:
Your misuse of the platformYour breach of these TermsAny clinical dispute between you and a clinicianAny false information you provideClinicians must indemnify Virtual Triage for claims relating to clinical services.
13. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
15. Text Messaging
SMS Messaging Terms
- By providing your mobile number to Virtual Triage, you agree to receive SMS messages from us for purposes including appointment reminders, account alerts, two-factor authentication codes, and customer care. Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with our services.
- Charges:Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-Out:You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS communications except those required for account security or legal purposes.
- By consenting, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you are permitted to receive messages at that number.
- No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates.
